Adult Summer Sound Series: Songwriting
Tuition: $450.00 ($112.50 per session)
Per 30 minute lesson $48.00-$55.00
Tap into your creativity and spend a few summer evenings writing songs alongside a community of fellow musicians. This four-evening workshop is designed for adult participants who want to explore the craft of songwriting in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Over the course of the series, participants will generate ideas, develop lyrics, and shape original songs—both individually and through co-writing. Guided by experienced faculty, you’ll explore key elements of songwriting—melody, harmony, lyric writing, form, and storytelling—while experimenting with different approaches and styles. Sessions include writing prompts, group workshops, and opportunities to share and refine your work.
Whether you’re brand new to songwriting, returning to it after time away, or already writing and looking for fresh inspiration, this workshop offers a welcoming space to take creative risks and grow your voice as a writer. The emphasis is on process, exploration, and learning from one another.
The series concludes with an informal sharing session where participants can present their songs in a relaxed and supportive setting.
Bring your instrument, your ideas, and your curiosity—and join us for four evenings of creativity, connection, and new music.
