MacPhail Community Youth Choir student takes first place in the Preteen Division
MacPhail Community Youth Choir student Charles Foster has been singing for just two years, but he’s already lit up stages across the Twin Cities—from the Capri Theater and Guthrie Theater to Children’s Theatre Company and MacPhail After Dark. This summer, Charles added the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand to the list, taking first place in the Preteen Division of the Amateur Talent Contest with his performance of “Girl on Fire.” Charles credits MacPhail faculty member and Community Youth Choir director J.D. Steele with nurturing his talent and helping him grow as a young artist.
