A MacPhail Story: Matt & Crosby
Matt spent 12 years at MacPhail studying piano and music. His piano teacher was Diana Bearmon until he was 18 years old. She remains to this day, his favorite piano teacher. Now an adult, Matt’s son Crosby takes lessons with her.
All through high school Matt spent Saturday’s at MacPhail spending 8 hours of his weekend studying theory, ear training, harmony, performances and everything else. He loved it! Matt learned all the fundamentals and that taught him how to make music.

Diana Bearmon, piano instructor at MacPhail, strives to make her lessons student-centered because she believes that their learning experience should be uniquely about them. With 30 plus years of teaching experience, she guides her students through their repertoire, incorporating styles that her students are interested in such as popular and rock as well as classical.
Diana enjoys teaching students of all ages, levels and abilities. She has a lot of experience working with students with special needs. She feels honored to be a part of all students’ musical growth.
