Sartory String Quartet Institute: July 7-11

Join us for the 2025 Sartory String Quartet Institute! Students at this 5-day Institute are placed in chamber ensembles with other students of similar age and proficiency. All ensembles receive daily coachings in preparation for a recital performance at the end of the Institute. In addition to these small ensembles, students play together in a chamber orchestra and experience what it’s like to perform in a larger group without a conductor.

This is an audition-based camp. Acceptance is dependent both on level and matching with other auditionees to form a chamber ensemble. You will receive notification about acceptance within two weeks of the application deadline.

Participants must be available for all camp hours (July 7-11, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm), as well as both performances:

Final performances will be held on:

• Friday, July 11, 2:00pm (MacPhail Minneapolis)
• Saturday, July 12, 11:00am (Mill City Museum)

In order to attend the camp, all students must audition through recorded video auditions and be accepted into the camp. Please record all three audition requirements (scale, piece and excerpts) in three separate files. Students must submit audition video by April 30. Students may register for camp only after receiving an acceptance letter.
