MacPhail Center for Music and the Richard Wagner Society of the Upper Midwest are pleased to co-sponsor international opera star Deborah Voigt in master class. This event will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 3:00-5:00pm in MacPhail’s Antonello Hall. Auditions will be held on Friday, October 18 starting at 2:00pm, running throughout the day. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, October 1.

Suitable repertoire includes opera arias and recitatives.

Six students will be selected to work with Ms. Voigt in 20-minute segments (including the performance). Performers will be selected from the following organizations:

• 2 students from MacPhail Center of Music
• 2 students from the MN Opera Artist Residency
• 2 students from the community (college/university, private studio, or professional, etc.)

All auditions (and performance in master class, if selected) require an accompanist. Singers can request an accompanist for a $30 fee or bring their own accompanist at their expense. Please check with your accompanist to make sure they are available for both the audition and performance (if selected). Auditionees will be notified of the results soon after the audition by e-mail.
