Audrey Dykstra
Audrey Dykstra, MT-BC is a board certified music therapist. Audrey has provided services for people of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds, including children and adults with a variety of developmental delays and disabilities including Autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, William’s Syndrome, adults with age-related illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia, mental health, veterans with PTSD and depression, and in the public school setting with kids with special needs, in addition to studio based adapted lessons. Audrey serves clients using her primary instrument, voice/vocal performance, along with the piano, guitar, and more. Audrey completed her Bachelor of Arts in music therapy at Seattle Pacific University, with an emphasis on special education and a minor in psychology. Audrey is compelled by how music therapy provides a voice and an opportunity for expression for all kinds of people. She has been called “glitter glue” by others due to her ability to bring vibrancy, fun, and connection to her music therapy sessions and lessons.
Favorite non-musical hobby: I love swing dancing and salsa dancing with my husband, roller skating, and going for walks around the lakes!
