Beatrice Blanc joined the MacPhail Suzuki Talent Education faculty in 1996. In addition to teaching at MacPhail, Beatrice has taught at summer institutes in Canada, D.C., Colorado, SoCal, and Wisconsin as well as weekend workshops.
She has soloed with local community orchestras, been interviewed on Minnesota Public Radio, and has presented at conferences and workshops. She served for over ten years as a board member of the Minnesota Suzuki Association, and has held numerous committee and service positions within MacPhail and the regional and national Suzuki community. Beatrice served on the staff of the Colorado Suzuki Institute as Artistic Director of the Chamber Music of the Rockies and as faculty at the Colorado Suzuki Institute. She also served as Coordinator of the LASI Chamber Music Workshop and as faculty at the Los Angeles Suzuki Institute. Beatrice holds a BM in Music Education from the University of Iowa and an MM in Violin Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from the University of Minnesota.
Favorite non-musical hobby: I keep a little Etsy shop called Beatrice’s Whimsy where I sell my handmade earrings.
