Delaney Breen

French Horn

Delaney Breen is an avid performer and educator in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. She boasts a rigorous teaching schedule through her personal studio, as well as her studio with St. Joseph’s School of Music, where Delaney also oversees chamber music coordination. In addition to her one-on-one teaching, Delaney spends her days working with numerous school districts in the cities, acting as a lesson teacher, sectional coach, and contest adjudicator.

When Delaney isn’t teaching, she is performing. Delaney regularly gigs throughout the Twin Cities, and has played with the National Lutheran Choir, the Fargo Moorhead Symphony Orchestra, and her brass quintet Bur Oak Brass. You will also see her at a multitude of churches on the weekends and during holidays. Additionally, Delaney is a member of the Encore Wind Ensemble.

Delaney received her Bachelor of Music degree in Horn Performance from St. Olaf College, and then went on to earn her Master of Music in Horn Performance from the University of Cincinnati – College Conservatory of Music (CCM). Here, Delaney had the privilege to study with Denise Tryon, Liz Friemuth, and Margaret Tung. These two institutions and their wonderful horn faculty are what made Delaney the teacher and performer she is today.
