Joshua Whalen

Joshua Whalen is a guitarist and the band leader of Whalen and the Willows. As someone who writes original music, he is uniquely attuned to the power of music as a form of expression. This passion for music can be seen in his teaching, as he imparts not only technical knowledge of the instrument, but also an appreciation of music as a tool for elevated communication. Music allows us to convey sentiment more powerfully than through words alone.

Joshua and his band have produced three albums headlined at 7th Street Entry, opened for Brittney Spencer, and they are not stopping there. Joshua is always improving his skill and knowledge of his instrument while meeting the next big opportunity head-on. With his growth-centered mindset, he sets a good example for budding musicians.
