Katie Ekberg

Suzuki Early Childhood Education Instructor, Violin, Viola

Katie Ekberg, violin, viola, and Suzuki Early Childhood Education instructor, has been teaching since 2007, and began specializing in the Suzuki Method in 2010. After graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Delaware, she continued her pedagogical education by pursuing Suzuki Teacher Training. She now has completed all Violin Books 1 through 10, courses covering Viola Books 1 through 4, and Suzuki Early Childhood Education Stages 1 through 3 from the American Suzuki Institute, Greater Washington Suzuki Institute, and Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute. She is an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, has served on the board of the Suzuki Association of Minnesota (SAM), and is currently on the SAM Statewide Graduation Recital Committee.
Katie wholeheartedly believes in the ability and endless potential of students of all ages, from the earliest years through all stages of life, and creates a joyful environment that focuses on nurturing the development of the whole child through musical artistry.
