Lou Ann Henderson came to the MacPhail Music for Life™ program after having taught as an elementary music specialist for 33 years. Lou Ann is passionate about bringing the joy of music to people of all ages. She loved her job working with young children and now is finding joy in working with seniors.
Lou Ann is a singer, pianist, and trumpet player and currently sings with Shoop Jazz and the Stillwater Carolers. She is a former singer with The Minnesota Chorale, The Phil Mattson Singers, and The Zephyr Cabaret.
Lou Ann received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Moorhead State University and a Master of Arts in Music Education degree from the University of St. Thomas. She also currently serves as the choir director and organist at The Grove United Methodist Church in Woodbury, MN.
Favorite non-musical hobby: Long walks, bike riding, and time outside
