Nora Paoli

Sing Play Learn with MacPhail®, MacPhail Music for Life™

Nora Paoli joined the MacPhail faculty in 2006 as a teacher in the Sing Play Learn and Community Partnerships departments. In 2017 she joined the MacPhail Music for Life™ department.

Nora has taught K-5 music at Yinghua Academy, the French Academy of Minnesota, and Paideia Academy. She has taught early childhood music both onsite at MacPhail as well as in many community partnerships including at the Sabes JCC and Wilder Child Development Center. Nora also currently works with seniors in numerous facilities including Towerlight Senior Living and Nine Mile Creek Senior Living.

Nora received her B.A. in music from Macalester College and her K-12 music education license from the College of St. Catherine. She has also completed her Orff certification level 1. You may have seen Nora perform locally with various Twin Cities choirs including the Minnesota Chorale, the Oratorio Society, and the Unity Unitarian Church Choir. She has also performed locally as a singer-songwriter and in 2005 released a CD of original compositions entitled “Panoramic.” She plays piano and guitar and is currently furthering her guitar studies with Craig Anderson.

 Nora is very proud to work with the talented and dedicated faculty of MacPhail. She especially enjoys learning new music that enriches the lives of her students. Nora also treasures her role as mom of Elliot, 11 and Vivienne, 8.

Favorite non-musical hobby: Spending time outdoors.
