Tom Speckhard, voice, taught at MacPhail from 1996 – 2005. In 2005 he accepted a position at St John’s University in Collegeville, but now enthusiastically returns to MacPhail to offer voice lessons in a wide variety of music genres, including classical, pop, jazz and contemporary. He has performed with MN Opera, Quite Light Opera, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Hot Jazz Quartet, Plymouth Music Series, as a freelance jazz singer and many local churches. In addition to teaching at MacPhail and St. John’s, he has taught at Normandale Community College, Sauk Rapids High School and the Alexandria Music Center.
Tom has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, was a graduate student in vocal performance at the University of Maryland and has a MM in Vocal Performance from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
