Yue Wu (Wu) joined the MacPhail faculty in 2016 as a board certified Music Therapist, and worked in both Music Therapy Department and MacPhail Music for Life™.
She graduated from Colorado State University with a M.M. in Music Therapy in 2016. Wu has completed her music therapy internship at Park Nicollet Health Services where she worked with individuals with a variety of medical conditions and different cultural backgrounds. Wu is a generalist who specializes in Neurologic Music Therapy. Currently, she is working on her PhD in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She is also a Minnesota Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (MNLEND) fellow.
Wu grew up in China. Before coming to the states for her master’s in music therapy, she obtained a master’s degree in Music Theory as well as a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Shandong Normal University. She is also an accomplished pianist. Wu is passionate about enriching the lives of individuals by building therapeutic relationships through music. She looks forward to continually expanding her experience at MacPhail by caring the families that she works with and collaborating with other teaching artists.
Favorite non-musical hobby: Reading, hiking, biking, traveling, connecting with others.
