MacPhail Center for Music is proud to celebrate Music Therapy students Brandon Leu and James Johnson, two musicians on the autism spectrum who were featured by KSTP after performing at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport as athletes departed the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games. Regular performers in the Arts@MSP program, Brandon and James provided piano solos and duets to help send athletes, families, and supporters home with music—demonstrating the power of music to foster connection, inclusion, and celebration.
