Are you an adult who used to play piano in the past? Did you stop years ago, but have since wanted to restart lessons? This class is for you! Designed for adult students who are either returning to lessons after several years, or are continuing from a previous piano class, students will improve their playing, listening, and reading as part of a community of adult learners.
Students should have prior experience having taken lessons or classes. A basic knowledge of musical notation is desirable, as well as dexterity in using both hands at the keyboard. In this class students can bring back repertoire previously learned, polish up current pieces, and learn new literature. The learning environment is casual and non-judgmental.
Access to a piano is required.
Prerequisite: Piano Class for Adult Beginners or previous lessons in the past.
New students interested in joining this class should contact Heather VanderLey, Instrumental & Vocal Instruction Manager, for proper placement in a suitable class: [email protected]
Next steps: Returning to Piano for Adults in the spring term, or individual instruction lessons.
