Dive into the vibrant world of brass music at Brass Camp, a four-day camp designed for brass players of all skill levels and instruments, including trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium (baritone), and tuba. This immersive experience celebrates the power and versatility of brass ensemble music, fostering skill development, collaboration, and musical expression.
Camp highlights include:
  • Ensemble Rehearsals – Collaborate with fellow brass musicians, preparing to premiere a brand-new piece written especially for the ensemble members’ unique abilities.
  • Skill Building – Enhance techniques like tone production, rhythm, and intonation through a new composition meticulously tailored to the ensemble’s beginner*, intermediate, and advanced players.
  • Music Interpretation – Explore the structure and emotion of music as the camp’s conductor/composer joins you in bringing his new composition to life.
  • End-of-Camp Performance – Showcase your progress for friends and family during Thursday’s climactic world premiere performance!
Whether you’re a beginning* brass player or honing your ensemble skills, Brass Camp offers a supportive and energetic environment to grow as a musician. Join us for four days of discovery, camaraderie, and unforgettable music!
*Minimum one school year of ensemble experience or lessons required. Minimum age of 10 (exceptions possible).

About Individual Lessons at MacPhail

Our outstanding faculty is equipped to teach beginning through advanced music lessons. At all levels, the music lessons are student-centered to develop personalized musical and technical skills.

How to Get Started

  1. Tell us about your musical interests, goals, and scheduling preferences by completing the Student Placement Form.
  2. When you’ve submitted the form, our placement team will find the ideal teacher for you, based on your requests.
  3. The placement team will reach out to you to introduce your teacher and arrange a regular time for your lessons.
