Songs & Stories: A Community Singing Experience for People Living with Dementia and Their Care Partners
Join us for an uplifting musical gathering where familiar songs spark memories, conversation, and connection. Designed for people living with dementia and their caregivers, Songs & Stories combines group singing with opportunities to learn about the music we love and share the personal stories that make it meaningful.
Each week features a different song, artist, era, or theme. Together, participants will sing well-known favorites, explore the history and cultural significance of the music, and reflect on the memories, experiences, and emotions the songs evoke. Whether a song reminds you of a special person, a meaningful moment, or simply brings a smile, your stories are welcome.
No musical experience is needed—just a willingness to listen, sing, and connect. The class provides a warm, supportive environment where participants can build relationships, celebrate shared experiences, and create a sense of belonging through the power of music. Through singing and storytelling, we foster wellness, strengthen community, and honor the unique experiences that each person brings to the group.
**Please note: individual registration is required for each participant, including caregivers.
Thursdays 10:30-11:30am, 6 weeks, September 17 - October 22.
