David Kassler is a multi-disciplined instructor in low brass and composition. With over 17 years of teaching experience, he strives to use the knowledge he’s acquired to benefit others. He’s taught composition and low brass to students at all levels, ranging from elementary school students to senior citizens. David’s performance experience includes his work as a trombonist with professional symphony orchestras and international experience as a euphonium recitalist, all while continuing his work as a composer. He holds a Master of Music in Music Composition and Theory, a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Euphonium Performance, and PhD (ABD) in music education with a cognate in choral conducting. He has studied under the tutelage of Edward Kleinhammer and Larry Zalkind (low brass), Alex Lubet, Quincy Hilliard, Gabriel Miller, and Libby Larson (music composition). In teaching, David’s goal is to bring unlimited potential out of his students, help them explore their instrument, and achieve success in their endeavors.
