Electronic Music Recording Arts Camp: July 20-24

Step into the world of music creation! Designed for ages 13–19, this hands-on camp gives young artists the chance to dive into music production, beat making, songwriting, singing, and DJing. Throughout the week, campers will experiment with different creative tools, collaborate with others, and build original tracks in a fun and supportive setting. The week concludes with an informal Open Mic where participants can share what they’ve created.

Required Materials
  • Be sure to bring a pair of headphones and either a smartphone, tablet (i.e., iPad or Chromebook), or a laptop with a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) of your choice installed.
  • Examples of DAWs: GarageBand, Soundtrap, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, BandLab, etc.
  • If you have questions or need assistance installing a DAW, please contact EMRA Studio Coordinator, Isaac Rohr before the camp begins.
  • MacPhail will provide keyboards, synthesizers, and DJ equipment for student use.

How to Get Started

  1. Tell us about your musical interests, goals, and scheduling preferences by completing the Student Placement Form.
  2. When you’ve submitted the form, our placement team will find the ideal teacher for you, based on your requests.
  3. The placement team will reach out to you to introduce your teacher and arrange a regular time for your lessons.
